An large open plan kitchen / dining / living area enhances the feeling of light and space.

Stages of Work: Concept to Handover

A great deal of time and care was taken in researching Georgian principles of design, details and materials. Portland stone was detailed for the plinth, window and door surrounds, quoins, string and cornice course. Working directly with the quarry, 16A Architecture detailed over fifty individual stones and provided co-ordinated stone layout drawings as part of the construction design.

Whilst the main body of the house is finished in render the garage building is constructed from clay brick in flemish bond with lime based mortar. Again Portland stone details follow through to this building. The garage building features a traditional archway which both serves as an undercover parking area giving access to the back door but also as the access to a traditional farm courtyard area complete with oak framed stable building.
